NFT: Mars launches M&M’s inspired by the NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club collection

Mars has just launched its limited edition NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) themed M&M’s box set.

The special candies will feature the NFT BAYC and Kingship logos

The license granted to the owners of NFT Bored Apes Yacht Club allows them to use their virtual monkey in a commercial way. It is now the well-known candy brand M&M’s that offers a box of chocolate with their image.

After clothes, restaurants, it’s the turn of the American company Mars to launch in the NFTs. Indeed, the company has just announced through a video on Twitter the launch of 10,000 packages of personalized M&M’s.

Owning an NFT of the Bored Apes Yacht Club allows to use the image associated with it in a commercial way. While some have opened a fast-food restaurant with the effigy of their Apes, others have preferred to create a rock band like KINGSHIP.

Jane Hwang, global vice president of Mars Wrigley, said, “At Mars, we know we have to be more innovative than ever with a brand as culturally famous as M&M’s.” It’s important to note that these special candies will carry the BAYC and Kingship logos. They will be packaged in boxes and gift jars.

With a commitment to being a “supergroup”, KINGSHIP is backed by the 10:22PM label which is owned by none other than Universal Music Group. The founders of the rock band are well known and already have a strong background in the entertainment industry:

Today, the band formed by Bored and Mutant Apes announced a collaboration with Mars to sell limited edition M&M’s boxes.

There is the Gold gift box which is already sold out. There is also the M&M’s Celebratory gift box which costs $59.99. The candy is also contained in the M&M’s Kingship gift jar which costs $39.99.
