Microstrategy has an opening for a Bitcoin Lightning Software Engineer

MicroStrategy is looking to hire a Bitcoin Lightning software engineer to develop a SaaS platform based on the Lightning Network.

MicroStrategy Incorporated is a U.S.-based software company offering a business intelligence platform, mobile application, and cloud services. MicroStrategy is one of the leading players in the business intelligence market.

The company was founded in 1980 by Michael Saylor, who no longer holds the position of CEO. The firm’s headquarters are located in Tysons Corner, Virginia.

MicroStrategy is also known for buying large amounts of Bitcoin (BTC). According to the company’s latest details, to date, it has invested more than $3.98 billion to buy about 130,000 BTC, making it the largest institutional holder of the crypto asset.

The firm continues to expand in the crypto sector. In fact, it is now looking to hire an engineer for Lightning Network-based products.

The Lightning Network is a second-tier solution that relies on the Bitcoin blockchain, allowing for instant and nearly cost-free transactions with the crypto-currency without the need to verify each transaction separately.

They posted the job opening on the company’s website, “As a software engineer for Bitcoin Lightning Network at MicroStrategy, you will build a SaaS platform, providing businesses with innovative solutions to cybersecurity challenges and enabling new use cases for the e-commerce industry,” the company says.

The candidate should have “experience building software solutions, leveraging the Bitcoin blockchain and Lightning network, as well as other decentralized finance (DeFi) technologies.
