Gate.io announces the upcoming arrival of its own Visa-stamped debit card. European users of the exchange can sign up for a waiting list.
As a reminder, Gate.io has been operational since 2013 and is one of the leading crypto-exchanges in the Asian market. However, it is also popular in other parts of the world, with the exception of the United States, where it does not provide services due to strict local regulatory policies.
Gate.io supports over 1,400 cryptos, a number that is constantly growing. Users can engage in instant buying, peer-to-peer (P2P) trading, margin trading, and more.
This Thursday, the platform announced the upcoming launch of the “Gate Card,” a Visa debit card that allows platform customers to use their crypto balances to make in-store or online purchases at Visa-accepting merchants.
With the Gate Visa card, our users can make seamless crypto payments at merchants around the world. It connects crypto to everyday life and brings greater financial inclusion to users,” trumpeted Dr. Lin Han, founder and CEO of Gate Group, in a statement.
Exchange customers based in “most European Economic Area (EEA) countries” can join a waiting list to get the card when it is released, the exact date of which was not disclosed.
