Thanks to a new fundraising round of $109 million, global crypto wallet leader Ledger is now valued at $1.4 billion.
That’s because in an extension of its Series C round, France-based Ledger has raised $109 million from True Global Ventures and other investors.
A few months after launching STAX, a new crypto wallet designed by Tony Fadell, the inventor of the iPod, France’s Ledger just announced a new $109 million fundraising round that brings its valuation to $1.4 billion.
Institutional investors in this latest round of funding include Morgan Creek, Cité Gestion SPV, Digital Finance Group, VaynerFund, True Global Ventures, and 10T.
I am grateful for the continued support of our long-term investors, and welcome new investors who support the current undeniable revolution in value and hardware. These funds will accelerate our mission to bring a new generation of secure consumer devices to hundreds of millions of people exploring digital assets,” commented Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier.
The French unicorn has now raised a total of around €450 million since its inception in 2014.
According to Ledger, 20% of the world’s cryptos are stored and secured on its crypto wallets, like the popular Ledger Nano X.
Earlier this month, the crypto security company unveiled a browser extension to connect a Nano X wallet directly to DApps.
