Coinbase, the pioneer of crypto-currency trading, has launched Coinbase One in several European countries. This subscription-based service allows users to pay no more trading fees.
Originally unveiled in late 2021 and launched in the US last year, Coinbase One is now available in the UK, Germany and Ireland.
Among the benefits included in this offer, Coinbase users will enjoy fast 24/7 customer support, advantages with partners such as Messari, CoinTracker, Alto IRA, BlockWorks, and Lemonade, as well as assistance in declaring their income from Bitcoin (BTC) and cryptocurrency trading.
The service is priced at $29.99 per month and is free for 30 days. Coinbase plans to roll out the service in other European countries in the coming months.
While Coinbase’s revenues have historically been generated by trading fees and are heavily dependent on activity in the crypto-market, Coinbase aims to diversify its revenue streams with Coinbase One in order to boost growth. Coinbase’s revenues from its subscription service have more than doubled over the past year, from $150 million in Q1 2022 to $360 million in Q1 2023.
Coinbase is also looking to reduce its dependence on the US market, as local regulators step up their efforts against major crypto-currency players.
