Brave and BitPay : a partnership to make crypto payments more accessible

Users of the BitPay crypto payments service now have the option of using their Brave wallet to make purchases.

Brave, with its privacy-focused browser and crypto wallet, is constantly looking to innovate. It has already established partnerships with well-known companies such as Solana and Binance. As for BitPay, its drive to democratize cryptos is evident in its alliances with fintechs and globally recognized companies such as MoonPay and Gucci.

The collaboration between these two web3 celebrities aims to accelerate the adoption of crypto payments in a network of over 250 merchants.

Indeed, in a recent article dated May 23, Brave announced a major collaboration with BitPay, a leader in crypto payments. Together, the two companies will work to enable Brave wallet users to make simple, accurate and secure payments directly from Brave’s private browser.

Stephen Pair, BitPay’s CEO, welcomed the collaboration:

“BitPay applauds Brave’s adoption of the BitPay protocol. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Brave team, we are able to promote quality online and in-store payments for customers and merchants who want to take advantage of the benefits of crypto payments.”

For his part, James Mudgett, vice president of Web3 products at Brave, expressed his excitement about the implications of the collaboration. He stated:

“With this BitPay integration, we’re extending the utility of the Brave wallet and making it easier than ever for users to spend their cryptos on real-world goods and services.”
