BNB Chain works with Google Cloud to support Web3 and Blockchain projects

BNB Chain has announced that it will work together with Google Cloud to advance the growth of Web3 and Blockchain projects.

Binance has rebranded the Binance Chain and the Binance Smart Chain as the BNB Chain. Binance is one of the most popular decentralized crypto exchanges in the world. Millions of people use the exchange to buy and sell crypto, but it’s not just known for its exchange. The platform has also developed the Binance Chain and Binance Smart Chain, two blockchains that offer excellent functionality.

Like many other decentralized projects, Binance has its own crypto token, the Binance Coin (or BNB). But Binance wants to establish a stronger association between its blockchains and its native token and put more emphasis on decentralization.

That’s why the company has decided to rename the Binance Chain and Binance Smart Chain to BNB Chain.

150 projects on BNB chain will get “accelerated access” to Google Cloud’s program

BNB Chain, the blockchain closely related to Binance, is partnering with Google Cloud, with the aim of supporting the growth of Web3 and Blockchain projects.

Through the partnership, BNB Chain-based projects can now access Google Cloud infrastructure, including the ability to analyze verification on the chain and encrypt information through Google Cloud, according to a press release.

About 150 projects in a BNB-focused accelerator program will also get “accelerated access” to the Google Cloud startup support program.

Commenting on the collaboration, Gwendolyn Regina, BNB Chain’s director of investments, said:

Google Cloud is a very good Web2 player and has really done a lot on Web3. It’s important for us to work with big players with big visions, and we share the same DNA and visions.

Google’s cloud computing arm has been involved in the blockchain and crypto-space for some time now. This latest cooperation with BNB Chain follows Google’s accelerated entry into the Web3 world. Earlier this year, Google Cloud added a crypto mining malware threat detection service and launched its new dedicated digital assets team.

Most recently, it was revealed that Google Cloud will operate a validator on Ronin, an Ethereum sidechain created for the purposes of the Axie Infinity game.
